Overview of Position
We are seeking a ready and capable individual to join our Video Engineering Team. This person will use their knowledge and skills to engineer DIRECTV, RF distribution, and related video systems for the lodging, healthcare, and senior living commercial industries at Groove that are set up and installed correctly.
What you’ll own
- Engineering projects related to DIRECTV, RF distribution, and other video-related system deployment
- Managing multiple projects
- Develop fundamental training materials about DIRECTV and video-related systems to be used for Groove interdepartmental cross-training
- Pre-sales support for all things DIRECTV and video-related systems
- Tier III Project support to all ongoing DIRECTV and video-related systems being deployed
- Provide escalation support to Groove’s in-house support team
Experience and skills you’ll have
- A comprehensive understanding of DIRECTV (COM3000, AEP, DRE, etc.)
- A comprehensive MATV and CATV RF distribution design and troubleshooting is a plus
- A willingness to continue advancing their knowledge of DIRECTV and video-related system solutions
- A basic understanding of IT and IPTV
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and G Suite
- Ability to work with remote technicians to assist in troubleshooting issues during installations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines
- Ability to travel when needed (10% during the initial training period, less than 5% after the training period)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Strong communication skills, including professional email correspondence, interdepartmental collaboration, and customer-facing interactions.
